Yo Ho Ho And a Bottle of-Whooooooooa!

He got the distinct impression that buxom one with the mandibles was going to try to kiss him in gratitude. Thankfully, Sage pulled the team out before the insect-woman in a catsuit had a chance. As they started to fade out, he had the impulse to look over at the girl who was an alternate reality little sister and give her a wink. Valeria Richards looked confused to why Remi was winking at her.
That was the last thing Gambit saw before something tore across his body. Transportation back to the palace was not supposed to be painful. He had done it countless times. But it felt like something reached into that energy transfer and yanked him out of place. Once that was done, whatever it was started to twist the energy pattern that the son of Namor occupied. Reflexively, Gambit tried to put shields up to help defend him. It did lessen the pain but sent him careening elsewhere.
The pain stopped suddenly and Remi opened his eyes. He saw clear blue sky. Right before he plummeted down. He tried to get his flight powers to work, but the energy transfer had been too much. He twisted his body to try to see where he was landing. He grinned a bit at the sight of blue water. Remi deNamor hit the reservoir in Central Park with a big splash.
He stayed under until he felt his powers returned in full. Then he burst from the water to fly to the large body of water's edge. He touched down, dripping wet. He cupped his hands to his mouth and began shouting for his comrades.
"Val! Betsy! Mystiq! Sabretooth!"
